Your voice in Abroad, on Purpose...

…to explore the Real Impact of Global Education

Over the past decade, global education has become one of the fastest-growing fields in higher education. From semester exchanges to short immersion programs and international internships, more and more universities are investing in helping their students go abroad — on purpose.

But what is the real impact of these global experiences? On students, universities, companies, and local communities that host them?

This is the question we’re trying to answer with our new report: 👉 “Abroad, on Purpose” — The Real Impact of Global Education.

🎯 Why this matters

Every year, thousands of students cross borders not only to learn but to contribute — to small enterprises, social projects, and local ecosystems around the world.

Universities invest in these programs to develop global citizens and future leaders. Companies open their doors to new talent and ideas. Communities benefit from cultural exchange, innovation, and new perspectives.

Yet, while we all feel this impact, few have measured it. This report aims to change that.

💬 A call to professionals in higher education

We are currently collecting insights from educators, international officers, deans, and global learning professionals who want to share their voice and contribute to this collective reflection.

Your input will help us understand:

  • What outcomes truly matter for students and universities?
  • How do global experiences benefit local economies and organizations?
  • What challenges and opportunities arise in hosting international students?
  • How can we make these experiences more inclusive and impactful?

If you work in the field of study abroad, internships abroad, or faculty-led immersion programs, your voice can help shape how the sector evolves in the coming years.

🧭 How to contribute

We’re inviting only 15 selected professionals to take part in a short recorded interview (25–30 minutes) led by our journalist partner Oksana Shchyrba (already 5 professionals joined the reseaech). Your insights will:

  • Be featured in the final report
  • Help benchmark best practices across institutions
  • Contribute to a global conversation about the future of experiential learning

🚀 Let’s make the invisible visible
