Balestrate, French students will promote local companies abroad
The internationalization of Sicilian companies, thanks to the StSicily methodology
The process of internationalization of Sicilian companies is possible, thanks to the methodology conceived and applied by StSicily, a company that deals with healthcare for business development, training and tourism, based in Balestrate.
The idea, born from the engineer Piero Tuzzo, this year involved some French students who will gain work experience in local companies, and in return will help them to establish themselves abroad.
In this way, local businesses will have practically no cost the possibility of having native language collaborators available to expand their business beyond national borders.
The project is called Internship Summer Camp and is already in its second edition.
Among the companies that have joined are: Marina holiday, Curcurù immobiliare, Adragna Pet, Jumbo travel, and Marina di Balestrate.
About thirty high school students who will arrive in Balestrate in the coming months. Tuzzo has signed an agreement with several French institutes “but soon – he says – we are ready to replicate the experience with other European countries”.
The initiative is enjoying great success as hundreds of internship requests have arrived. “We selected them based on our needs – explains Tuzzo – and we will soon be able to replicate the experience of last year when we hosted 20 young people”.
The goal is to help companies internationalize through commercial development projects, thus promoting the area.
Hotels, travel agencies and food production companies have joined the project. It will be Stsicily to help companies manage commercial development projects abroad. In the next few days, some meetings are planned between the Tuzzo company, the municipal administration and the University of Palermo to try to grow the project.
